As program manager (m/w/x) for Myopia Progression, you will be responsible to orchestrate the ZEISS Meditec projects and activities in a disease area. You will monitor the market needs and adapt the organization’s strategic direction, as well as creating and managing long-term goals. Moreover, you will track and manage progress in development of hardware and software solutions in the disease area. In addition, you will be essential in aligning the strategic direction across ZEISS. In this role, you have the opportunity to actively shape disease management globally, and help reduce the burden of eye disease.
Additionally, you will have the following tasks:
own the overall disease roadmap
prepare and drive strategic decision making in a cross-business sector Steering Committee setting
orchestrate a diverse team working on implementation of the roadmap, track and manage progress and report to top management
evaluate customers’ needs and workflows as well as competitors’ offerings
ensure continuous alignment and consistency of solutions across different parts of the organization and different countries
analyze and manage program risks
develop a budget and operating plan for the program
successfully completed Master’s degree, preferably in business, natural sciences, optometry, engineering, or a related field
at least 5 years of work experience in program management, senior product management, strategic marketing or management consulting, ideally within MedTech
solid and proven experience in strategic project management as well as a track-record of managing complex projects in a matrix organization
demonstrated ability to effectively partner with all levels of the organization and reach alignment in a complex stakeholder setting
good analytical skills and solution-oriented mindset as well as entrepreneurial thinking
strong written and oral English communication skills as well as willingness to travel internationally
